Becoming a Collector :

Becoming a Collector is the goal of all those marketing CDTs diamonds. The most common way Diamond Traders will reach Collector status is by marketing CDTs diamonds, generating subsequent sales, and promotion by promotion from Miner to Cutter to Polisher to Collector advancing to the top. This is how most Diamond Traders make it to the top.

There are other ways one can become collector. A Diamond Trader can jump to the collector position from the cutter position if they have made enough sales to qualify, and the polisher above it has not garnered enough sales. A cutter with two sales will jump over a polisher with only one or no sales. A cutter with one can jump over a polisher with no sales. A Diamond Trader in the cutter position is now able to jump over the polisher and go straight to Collector.

Only cutters can jump, miners cannot jump from the bottom all the way to the top. If you are one of the Diamond Traders that have diligently marketed CDTs diamonds from the moment you entered the DTP and have generated sales right away; you might be able to bypass the polisher position and go straight to collector.

The third method of becoming a collector is rare but does happen. It is what we call forced to the top. This happens when the polisher position has not garnered its sales and technically is not eligible to go to the collector position; yet the diamond table is ready for expansion due mostly to the marketing efforts of those in the miner position. If there are no cutters that are eligible to jump over the polisher position because they have not been successful in generating sales, and miners can never jump; the marketing team must expand, and the table must split. Therefore the system has no choice but to promote the cutter or polisher to the collector position. This is rare but it does happen.
